Structural components optimized for
mass prefabrication
The intelligence of the H.O.M concept lies in the industrialization and standardization of all structural components, prefabricated in series on our automated production lines (floor modules, insulated wall panels, roof trusses, and doors and windows). This high level of engineering and advanced prefabrication ensures more efficient, more economical, and faster on‑site assembly.

FAQ – H.O.M Collection
We answer your questions

Prefabrication offers many advantages compared to traditional construction:

  • Time savings and lower costs thanks to fast on‑site installation.
  • Less waste, with materials used precisely and recycled efficiently.
  • Fewer errors and surprises due to assembly in a controlled environment.
  • Reduced specialized labor costs, since most complex work is done in the factory.
  • Overall cost and timeline optimization through industrial production and planned logistics.

The Laprise mechanical [pod] is a pre‑assembled module built in the factory that integrates the home’s mechanical systems (plumbing, electrical, ventilation) along with the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry area.

This approach shifts much of the work from the construction site to the factory, improving task sequencing and reducing on‑site labor.

The result: faster, more precise, and more economical construction—while maintaining quality, style, and durability.

The H.O.M system includes, as standard, high‑value equipment and components designed to optimize construction efficiency, reduce overall costs, and ensure high quality and performance.

Consult the Features page for the full details, then request a detailed technical estimate to understand the savings, timelines, and performance for your project.

The industrial design of H.O.M homes is developed from the start to optimize factory production. Each plan and component is created for standardized fabrication and assembly, which allows:

  • Lower manufacturing costs through more efficient use of materials and reduced waste.
  • Fewer errors and surprises on the job site thanks to controlled factory production.
  • Faster construction through optimized logistics and task sequencing.
  • Less specialized on‑site labor, since most complex work is completed in the factory.

Industrialization allows H.O.M homes to be designed and produced through standardized, optimized processes right from the design phase. Factory production boosts productivity, reduces material waste, and minimizes the unpredictability of traditional construction sites.

Because the models are designed for industrial manufacturing:

  • Costs are better controlled
  • Timelines are shorter
  • Economies of scale are maximized

Advanced technology tools for estimating, planning, and project management further optimize resources, eliminate waste, and ensure greater cost predictability.

Result: a higher‑quality home delivered more efficiently, at a fairer and more accessible acquisition cost—without compromising performance or durability.

H.O.M homes are produced through a standardized industrial process designed for speed, quality, and efficiency. Each model and finish is carefully selected by our designers to maximize aesthetics, reduce costs, and limit waste.

Customizing each home would:

  • undermine these efficiencies
  • increase production time
  • raise costs

This is why the range is offered as a standardized, optimized collection.

Yes. The price includes transport within 300 km of our Montmagny factory. Beyond 300 km, transport fees are the buyer’s costs. In certain regions, special conditions may apply.

Yes. Prefabrication is inherently eco‑friendly.

Factory construction improves quality control, boosts productivity, and significantly reduces material waste. It also supports structured recycling and waste‑recovery programs.

H.O.M models are designed specifically for industrial production—much like the automotive industry—to:

  • optimize usable living space
  • reduce material usage
  • minimize waste
  • and lower the overall environmental footprint

With advanced manufacturing technologies, our process generates less than 2% waste, all fully recycled.

Our intelligent cost‑estimation and project‑management tools further optimize costs, timelines, and material usage—without compromising performance or quality.

Finally, H.O.M homes are designed ans built here in Québec, using Québec lumber and 100% recyclable, eco‑responsible insulation and sealing systems.

All turnkey‑installed H.O.M homes are covered by the GCR Residential Construction Warranty (mandatory warranty program for new homes in Québec), offering protection for up to 5 years. In addition, all H.O.M homes include a 10‑year structural warranty.

For H.O.M homes built on a foundation, the pre-cut materials for the front porch and rear balcony are included. For homes built on concrete slab, these elements are not included. The side deck at the patio door is not included, whether the home is on a foundation or slab.

The porch and balcony, as specified in the plans and specifications of the chosen model, are supplied and installed by a Laprise Certified Contractors / Partners.

Any other porch, balcony, or terrace configuration can be discussed with your Laprise Certified Contractor. The design, choice of materials, and installation of these additional features are at the buyer’s expense.

The H.O.M Vivô 2.0 features two distinct façades to offer maximum flexibility depending on your lot and lifestyle.

  • A panoramic glass façade opens fully onto nature
  • A more private façade blends seamlessly into urban or residential environments

This dual‑façade concept allows Vivô 2.0 to adapt to both natural and urban settings, optimizing natural light, views, and site integration—without compromising modern, versatile design.

Yes. H.O.M homes can be installed on a concrete slab, allowing you to enjoy 100% single‑level living with no stairs and no basement. This option maintains all the advantages of prefabrication: speed, quality, and durability.

A concrete foundation with basement is also available to maximize living space.
